Our DBT Skills Group helps women who have trouble managing overwhelming emotions by teaching skills :
- Mindfulness - Learn how to stay more present in the moment nonjudgmentally
- Distress Tolerance - Learn skills to better manage distress
- Emotion Regulation - Learn skills to better stay calm
- Interpersonal Effectiveness - Learn strategies around asking for what one needs, how to be assertive and how to cope with interpersonal conflict.
Each module will start with mindfulness and be taught over a six-week time period, and there will be openings after each module for new members to join.
We provide phone coaching to clients so they can learn how to use their skills in real-life situations.
Phone coaching is used before a crisis emerges so that you can use skills to avoid a crisis from starting in the first place.
